First time here, not the first time trying Saurav's incredible food and, as always, he didn't disappoint us. A proper Indian restaurant (very rare in England), Saurav Ki Rasoi is a true food sensation. Every dish is fantastically cooked and presented and the flavours are simply divine. The menu is just perfect, not too long and not too short, with a great selection of fish, meat and vegetarian options. The restaurant itself is small, cosy and perfectly decorated. The service is fantastic, with Saurav and his lovely wife checking on you regularly. All in all, it couldn't be better and we will definitely be back!- Meal type

- Not a vegetarian myself, but I think it's great there is a vegetarian menu, with as many options as the normal menu. So rare!

We had such a fantastic meal for my birthday at Saurav Ki Rasoi. The name means Saurav’s Kitchen in Hindi, and that’s exactly how it feels – as though you’re being welcomed into the chef’s own home. The food was absolutely delicious – full of authentic flavours and served in wonderfully generous portions.
You can tell this is a passionate couple running the restaurant; their warmth and genuine welcome make the whole experience personal and inviting.
If, like us, you’d love to work your way through the menu, a little tip is to skip the poppadoms (they’re more crisp-like than traditional) and the starter – that way you’ll save some room for the main event, which is where the real magic is.
For our mains we enjoyed Kolhapur Chicken, Pork Vindaloo, Chicken Supreme Makhani, plus naans, jeera and peas pulao, and the most delicious coconut rice.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic, home-style Indian cooking in Folkestone. 🌶️🍛- Price per person

🌟 A Hidden Gem in Folkestone - Saurav Ki Rasoi 🌟
From the very first bite, I knew I had discovered something truly special. Saurav Ki Rasoi is not just a restaurant—it’s an experience that brings the heart and soul of India to Folkestone.
The taste? Absolutely divine. Every dish is bursting with authentic Indian flavours, cooked to perfection with a balance of spices that only comes from years of experience. You can feel the passion behind each plate.
The quality of food is top-notch—fresh ingredients, homemade touches, and careful preparation in every item. It’s clear that this hardworking couple puts their heart into every meal they serve. Truly inspiring to see such dedication!
Saurav’s hands must be magical—from the rich curries to the perfectly balanced Indian thaali, every bite reminded me of home. Their food speaks of tradition, love, and warmth.
And just when you think it couldn’t get better, the meal ends with their handmade hot gulab jamun paired with ice cream—an unforgettable dessert that melts your heart and soul.
Highly recommended for anyone craving real Indian taste with an emotional connection. Saurav Ki Rasoi isn’t just about food—it’s about a journey, a story, and a taste that stays with you long after your plate is empty.
🌸 Truly a blessing for Folkestone. Don’t miss it!- Service

Have been here 4 times already. The food is amazing! Come here if you want proper traditional Indian food. Well balanced flavours and different spices that all work together really well. So much better than the dishes served in most other British Indian restaurants that all tend to serve the same. Working my way through the menu so will be back to try more. Saurav is an artist!

This was our first visit for my wife and I. The food was simply exceptional! The duck breast starter was amazingly tasty, perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth. We then had a goat curry and chicken main with flavours so delicious only complimented further by the lovely sides and absolutely delicious coconut rice! The chef and his wife are very kind and hospitality was excellent only further made warm and even nicer by the intimate environment. This is a little treasure of a restaurant and we will be going back to work our way through the menu.- Food

I highly recommend the duck starter. It was cooked to perfection and had an authentic, delicious taste. This is not your typical curry house; every dish is meticulously crafted and well thought out.
When the chef came out to speak with us. He was so passionate about his craft, and it showed in every word he spoke. He explained in great detail how he prepared certain dishes and the time it took to achieve the final result. His dedication and love for cooking were truly inspiring, and the quality of the food was a testament to that.

This restaurant is really excellent. We were five last night so were able to try a good selection from the menu and were delighted with everything from the soft shell crab to the goat curry. Beautifully prepared dishes, wonderful flavours. Make sure to book when you go! Really five star restaurant!!
3 of came in and had the chicken supreme makhani. Think Chicken tikka masala but better with a tiny kick and fuller flavour. We all agreed it was the best curry/indian we’d ever had and would definitely go back.
Food is explosion or spices and flavours. Can’t fault anything wow what a place coming from London this is the best Indian I have had in years

We stumbled upon this delightful family run restaurant and we are so glad we did! Food was perfectly spiced, beautifully presented and came to our table hot…which is very much appreciated. The service was impeccable; and so kind…recommending a dish when I was looking for something they didn’t have on their menu. I’m so glad I took her suggestion; so much better than what I was looking for. We will be back!

So pleased to have this place just up the road from me, a real gem and definitely not your usual ‘high street curry house’ (not that there’s anything wrong with those). Made my first visit at the weekend and had the goat thali. Every little dish was superb. Also had a really punchy starter of a jewelled potato patty, also excellent. A really distinctive little restaurant that I can’t wait to go back to. Soon!

The best food in town and possibly the country!! We love this place so much we don’t go anywhere else anymore. This is the tastiest authentic Indian food we have ever tasted. We’ve introduced all our friends and they love it too. The owner and his wife are so friendly and accommodating and put so much love and care into their business.

What an absolutely amazing little restaurant. Excellent service and the food blow my mind. The best Indian style dishes I have ever eaten. We had two dishes off the Chaat counter menu, Pani puri and Ragda pattice. It was honestly like eating Michelin star Indian food. The Pani puri are small little round hollow puffs that you make a hole in and stuff them your self and then pour an amazing tamarind water inside and then eat the whole thing. Just an explosion of flavour. The Goat Thali was sensational and also the prawn malai curry packed so much flavour. We will be going back and back to try everything off the menu. If you like Indian style food you absolutely have to visit this restaurant. A cut above the rest.- Service
